WALKING EXPERIENCE THROUGH JOVÍ RIVER

The Nuquí communities have learned to coexist peacefully between the jungle, the river and the sea; they take care of and respect these sacred places because for them they represent the medicine and the nourishment of life. In the community of Joví there is a group called Grupo de Guía Pichindé, made up of local women and men. The Pichindé is a tree that supports the banks of the river and intersects its branches forming several tunnels along the route. They offer an experience that takes the visitor on a journey from the town of Joví to the La Chontadura Waterfall. Joví is located 35 minutes by boat from Nuquí. If you stay in Guachalito or Coquí you can walk along the beach shore; it is approximately 40 minutes.
